Golden Mayor Smith Says YES on Prop. 103

In his Jacob’s Golden Update email to the community, Golden Mayor Jacob Smith reviews his stand on Proposition 103, and recommends a YES vote. Regarding the details of Prop. 103, he explains, “The changes really are modest…” He goes on to add, “..it’s still clear that continued school funding declines are making it extremely difficult for even our best teachers and principals to give our kids the education they deserve. My recommendation is to vote yes on Proposition 103.”

Be a part of history and join Great Futures Colorado Coalition Day of Action this Thursday, October 13th from 8am-8pm at the Ronald McDonald House at 1300 E. 21st Avenue, Denver, CO. Join us to make phone call, and personalized letters to Colorado voters to ask them to vote YES on Proposition 103.

The Jeffco School Board passed a resolution supporting Prop. 103! It was a 3-1 vote with Laura Boggs voting against and Jane Barnes absent. You can pledge YOUR support, too. Click here to get active. Together we can make a difference for Colorado kids.



North Evergreen Letter Writing Parties for Prop. 103

An open-invitation to all Evergreen Middle School and Bergen PTA members to learn more about Proposition 103 and write letters to neighbors to get out the vote! Hosted by Liz Cohen (EMS), Suzi Hoffer (The Bergens) and Casey Shea (Great Education Colorado). Both the Colorado PTA and the Jeffco PTA have endorsed Proposition 103. However, these Evergreen events are hosted individually, and are not sponsored by the EMS or The Bergens PTA.

AAUW Lakewood Presents Prop. 103 Thursday, October 13th

AAUW will hold their Lakewood Branch Meeting to present Proposition 103 and introduce Jeffco School Board Candidates. Carol Hedges, Director of Colorado Fiscal Policy Institute, will speak about Prop. 103 and explain the benefits to education. Jeffco School Board Candidates attending include District 3: Preston Branaugh and Jill Fellman; and District 4: Lesley Dahlkemper and Jim Powers.

The program will begin at 7:15pm. Please show your support of Prop. 103 and attend this meeting.
